SAN JOSE — Recogni, Inc., a pioneer in AI-based computing, has successfully closed a $102 million Series C funding round, co-led by Celesta Capital and GreatPoint Ventures. The investment, supported by existing investors Mayfield, DNS Capital, BMW i Ventures, and SW Mobility Fund, as well as new investors Pledge Ventures and Tasaru Mobility Investments, marks a significant milestone for Recogni. The funding will propel the development of next-generation AI inference solutions aimed at delivering unparalleled performance and power efficiency.

In today’s rapidly evolving AI landscape, the demand for more efficient and scalable AI inference solutions has never been greater. Recogni aims to bridge this gap by leveraging its innovative AI acceleration technique, promising to revolutionize critical sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and generative AI.

Marc Bolitho, CEO of Recogni, emphasized the urgency of addressing key challenges in AI inference processing: “Recogni is leading this transformative wave, engineering pivotal advances that will redefine data centers and enterprise and revolutionize industries like automotive and aerospace.”

Recogni’s groundbreaking technology offers a fundamental shift in inference processing, with scalability and efficiency that can meet the evolving demands of AI applications. The company’s flagship product, Recogni Scorpio, introduced in December 2022, sets a new standard for low-power AI compute, achieving 1000 TFLOPS (1 Peta-Flop) class inference performance.

Ashok Krishnamurthi, managing partner at GreatPoint Ventures, underscored the significance of Recogni’s solution: “When you have a solution that achieves 10x higher compute density, 10x lower power and 13x less cost per query, it’s a no-brainer to invest and help bring that solution to market.”

Sriram Viswanathan, Celesta Capital founding managing partner and chairman of Recogni’s Board of Directors, highlighted the critical need for Recogni’s innovative solutions: “With the rapid AI proliferation over the past year, there is a clear need for Recogni’s products, which are purpose-built for efficient inference compute.”

Recogni’s Series C funding round will enable the company to further advance its AI inference solutions, driving progress towards more efficient, scalable, and cost-effective AI computing.
