SAN FRANCISCO — LandingAI has announced the launch of its innovative LandingLens app on Snowflake Marketplace, marking a significant milestone in its partnership with Snowflake. The move, unveiled during Snowflake’s annual Data Cloud Summit in June 2024, enables customers to leverage LandingAI’s computer vision AI technology directly within their Snowflake accounts, simplifying the deployment of AI-driven solutions.
Andrew Ng, founder of LandingAI, expressed his excitement about the integration: “Integrating LandingLens into the Snowflake Marketplace is a game-changer for us. Now, customers can easily access and use our computer vision technology within Snowflake’s platform, making AI adoption faster and more seamless. This collaboration helps industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, and more benefit from advanced AI tools with minimal complexity.”
LandingAI and Snowflake’s partnership enhances the capabilities of their joint customers by enabling the creation, training, and deployment of AI models directly within the Snowflake platform. By integrating these AI tools as User-Defined Functions or Native Applications, the collaboration boosts efficiency and accelerates innovation in sectors like healthcare, life sciences, and manufacturing.
Prasanna Krishnan, Head of Collaboration and Horizon at Snowflake, highlighted the significance of the new integration, saying, “LandingLens in the Snowflake Marketplace aligns with our mission to help businesses harness the full potential of their data. This seamless integration allows customers to leverage AI-driven computer vision without moving data, all while staying within the security and governance framework of their Snowflake account.”
The LandingLens app has already proven valuable to manufacturing clients. Pugal Janakiraman, Field-CTO of Manufacturing at Snowflake, explained how the app accelerates quality control in manufacturing, saying, “By leveraging LandingLens and Snowflake’s platform, we provide a pre-built solution for automated, high-throughput quality control, improving accuracy and reducing costs.”
At Opto 22, LandingLens has transformed quality control processes by enabling automated inspections of conformal coatings on PCB products. Guillermo Rodriguez, Manufacturing Engineer at Opto 22, said, “The precision and efficiency achieved through LandingLens and Snowflake’s container services have revolutionized our manufacturing operations.”
Developers can now use Snowflake’s Native App Framework and Snowpark Container Services to create sophisticated AI applications that run on configurable hardware, including GPUs. These applications can be deployed and monetized on Snowflake Marketplace without moving data, offering customers new opportunities to optimize their operations.
