COIMBRA – CRITICAL Software and the BMW Group have announced a strategic collaboration to establish a new joint venture named Critical TechWorks. This partnership aims to leverage the combined expertise of both companies in automotive software engineering, with a focus on enhancing in-car systems and driving digitalization across corporate processes.

Critical TechWorks will be headquartered in Porto and Lisbon, serving as a hub for technological excellence in Portugal. The venture will specialize in various domains, including artificial intelligence, data analytics, smart factories, customer ecosystems, vehicle connectivity, and car sharing services.
This announcement coincides with CRITICAL Software’s 20th anniversary, commemorating two decades of providing systems and software services for critical applications across industries.
