SAN FRANCISCO — Attendees are invited to OpenAI‘s headquarters in San Francisco’s vibrant Mission District for an immersive day of talks and collaborative hacking on Saturday, March 3rd (2018). The OpenAI Hackathon promises a day filled with intellectual discourse and hands-on exploration. (RSVPs are now closed as the event has reached capacity, and the attendee list is carefully curated. Confirmation emails will be sent out shortly.)
Here’s what to expect:
The doors swing open at 8:30 am, welcoming everyone with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and an array of pastries.
From 9:00 am to 11:00 am, engage with thought-provoking talks by esteemed speakers including Sam Altman, Dario Amodei, Josh Achiam, and Alec Radford.
From 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, dive into the hackathon! Attendees can fuel up with a provided lunch and unleash their creativity. Whether arriving with a project in mind, teaming up with fellow attendees, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, there’s ample opportunity to explore. While the Requests for Research offer inspiration, all project ideas, regardless of their relation to machine learning, are encouraged!
Attendees are encouraged to review the event’s Code of Conduct and hackathon terms. With no judging panel, prizes, or competitions, the focus is solely on fostering an environment conducive to collaborative innovation.
So, whether attendees join for a portion of the day or the entirety, the objective remains the same: deepen the understanding of AI and embark on a journey of exploration alongside like-minded individuals.
