FREIBURG – Over 450 esteemed researchers and experts in robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) are set to gather in Freiburg, Germany for the highly anticipated “Robotics: Science and Systems” conference. Hosted at the University of Freiburg from June 22 to 26, 2019, the conference will feature more than 100 scientific lectures exploring the latest advancements in robotics, AI, and ML, according to a press release published on EuropaWire.
The conference will serve as a platform for the exchange of groundbreaking ideas and insights across a spectrum of topics, including intelligent systems capable of learning and solving complex tasks autonomously, robotic solutions aiding emergency response efforts in challenging environments, and innovative research on “soft” robots with applications in medicine.
A highlight of the event is the press conference scheduled for Monday, June 24, 2019, at 6pm, to be held at the Messe Freiburg convention center. Among the distinguished speakers are Prof. Dr. Wolfram Burgard from the University of Freiburg, who also serves as Vice President for Automated Driving Technology at the Toyota Research Institute and President of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, and Prof. Dr. Maren Bennewitz from the University of Bonn, who holds the role of vice president and is an organizer of conference workshops.
