PARIS – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has announced its intention to acquire BENEXT, a leading French product consulting company specializing in product management, agile coaching, cloud-based development, and data science. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, according to a press release published on EuropaWire.
BENEXT, founded in 2014 and headquartered in France, brings to the table a wealth of experience in assisting clients with digital product design, organization, deployment, and management, with a focus on enhancing customer user experiences. The approximately 160 highly skilled professionals of BENEXT are set to join OCTO Technology, which has been part of Accenture since 2017. OCTO Technology is renowned for its expertise in digital transformation and software development, operating primarily in France and across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Karthik Narain, global lead of Accenture Cloud First, emphasized the significance of the acquisition in meeting the evolving needs of clients operating in multi-cloud environments. Narain stated, “With many clients ramping up their multi-cloud environments, the need for new agile operating models and a seamless user experience across a multi-cloud network has never been greater. Acquiring BENEXT would be a valuable addition to help more clients truly operate in the cloud and become digital enterprises.”
Accenture Cloud First, powered by 77,000 cloud professionals and a $3 billion investment over the next three years, aims to provide clients with unparalleled expertise, industry solutions, ecosystem partner capabilities, and assets for realizing greater value from cloud services. The acquisition of BENEXT further strengthens Accenture’s Cloud First capabilities, aligning with its strategy of strategic investments to expand and enhance cloud services. Recent acquisitions in France include Linkbynet, Gekko, and Cirruseo.
Olivier Girard, market unit lead for Accenture France & Benelux, highlighted the combined strengths of Accenture and BENEXT in meeting the growing demand for effective product management and agile methodologies. Girard stated, “Together with BENEXT, we would bring more specialized skills to fulfill the growing demand for effective product management and agile methods by leveraging the use of the latest technologies such as cloud, artificial intelligence, data, and DevOps.”
