PALO ALTO — Inflection AI has announced a new funding round of $1.3 billion, led by Microsoft, Reid Hoffman, Bill Gates, Eric Schmidt, and NVIDIA, bringing its total funding to $1.525 billion. This capital infusion supports the development of its groundbreaking personal AI product, Pi, and the construction of the world’s largest AI cluster in collaboration with CoreWeave and NVIDIA.

The cluster, powered by 22,000 NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs, is designed to train and deploy advanced large language models (LLMs) and boasts a computing capacity of 22 exaFLOPS in 16-bit precision mode. This achievement positions it as one of the most powerful AI infrastructures globally, dedicated to delivering transformative AI experiences.

A New Era for Personal AI
Pi, launched in May 2023, represents a new class of personal AI designed to provide natural, conversational interactions. Acting as a supportive companion, Pi offers text and voice conversations, friendly advice, and concise, personalized information. Built on Inflection AI’s proprietary LLM technology, Pi aims to simplify everyday tasks and foster trusted, meaningful connections with users.
