SAN FRANCISCO — OpenAI has acquired Global Illumination, a company known for its expertise in AI-driven creative tools, infrastructure, and digital experiences. Founded by Thomas Dimson, Taylor Gordon, and Joey Flynn, the entire Global Illumination team has now joined OpenAI. This team brings a wealth of experience from their work at major tech companies such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google, Pixar, and Riot Games. They will contribute to enhancing OpenAI’s core products, including ChatGPT. OpenAI is enthusiastic about the innovative impact this talented team will bring to their projects.
