FRANKFURT — Accenture (NYSE: ACN), a global leader in professional services, has announced its agreement to acquire Parsionate, a specialized data consultancy known for its expertise in data products and modern data foundation services. The acquisition, aimed at strengthening Accenture’s data and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities in Europe, particularly in industries such as retail, industrial, consumer goods, and life sciences, marks a significant step towards delivering innovative, data-driven solutions to clients, according to a press release published on EuropaWire.
According to research from Accenture, there has been a notable surge in the importance of data and AI among C-level leaders, with 75% planning to increase spending in these areas in 2024 compared to 50% in 2023. This trend underscores the critical role data readiness plays in unlocking the potential of AI technologies.
Christina Raab, market unit lead for Accenture in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, emphasized the importance of data readiness in leveraging AI advancements. She stated, “Getting data right lays the foundation for achieving exponential value through AI,” highlighting Parsionate’s holistic expertise in data strategy development and technology implementation as crucial assets in this endeavor.
Headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, Parsionate is recognized by Gartner as a major service provider in Master Data Management and Data Governance globally. With offices across Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland, Parsionate’s team of 130 professionals will join Accenture Technology’s Data & AI group, led by founders Thomas Sperrfechter and Michael Fieg.
Kathrin Schwan, who leads Accenture’s Data & AI business in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, expressed enthusiasm about Parsionate’s integration into Accenture’s network.
